Celebrating over one decade of awesome.
Now Sleepyhead’s new album, Nocturne, is here and available for sale! YAY!
We’ll be setting up a release party soon and the album should be available on iTunes sometime shortly as well.
We’re headed back to the studio again soon. I’m getting excited. We’re close to an album full of songs! woot!
Hey, that was great! Our good friend Allen Clements was in town, Allen and I went out relatively early to the zine fest. Oura and Steph had already been there for hours holding down the fort. The table looked great with so many different copies of zines Oura’s been putting out for years in Richmond. Everyone else’s tables were great too. I checked out some fun stuff, including some swell illustrated poems, some local guys who are recording local shows (they had a free Pedals On Our Pirate Ships live CD!), and even the folks from Valiant Death had a table with records and zines and stuff. Oh, plus I picked up some Snakepit from Young American Comics, nice people too. I was pumped up on coffee and picked up lots of stuff to check out later. Maybe Oura will have some stories to relay. Also, I know Phil was there later as well.
I’ll make a separate post about the afterparty, how about that!
We’re playing our first acoustic show (at least our first on-purpose acoustic show) at the 4th Base house in Asheville with Hope and Anchor. I’m pretty psyched about it. We have some really nice material that might come as a surprise to people who are used to our loud sounds. Since this is the first time we’ve ever played in Asheville, it might actually be the first most people have heard from Now Sleepyhead at all. That’s even more interesting.
I’ve taken the new site to live beta for 3 reasons:
So look out, we’re live. Feel free to send me any bugs or suggestions: phil@popfaction.com.
Smooches,
Phil.
I finally got off my ass and got some work done on the site (well, I took two days off of work to get some work done on the site). The Artist pages are pretty fully fleshed out, I just need to add some of the little things like high-res photo links and figure out how to make the artist blog entries display on the artist pages. The About page is up, but it’s missing something…
We’ll get there!
I am also Phil.
that’s right!
